Xenolim

Xenolim is a 100% male anthocyanin-free hybrid and excellently suitable for the cultivation of anthocyanin-free green asparagus in areas with a moderate climate. Xenolim combines a moderately early production with very high yields and a long viable lifespan.

Cultivation
Xenolim grows best on vigorous soils that are well drained. During multi-annual research for the anthocyanin-free green cultivation, the best results were achieved with a plant density of 4 plants per linear metre and a plant depth of 15 - 20 cm. Xenolim is a 100% male hybrid, meaning not only a long economical lifespan, but also that crop storage from seeds no longer occurs.

Product
Xenolim has a very high production potential, an excellent quality and a good stem thickness. The tip of Xenolim is excellent, even under warm circumstances during the harvest. Some 70% of the products are in the commercially interesting sorting class above 12 mm. Xenolim produces nice and smooth stems with a cylindrical shape.

Foliage
The uniform foliage of Xenolim is raised and tall-growing. Despite the timely natural death of the foliage, sufficient plant’s reserves are stored.
